Browse & Darby are pleased to announce their Critic’s Choice, selected by William Packer, long-time critic for Art & Artists and the Financial Times. Sole selector of the first British Art Show, Packer has a long history as a judge for various prizes, including The Threadneedle Prize, John Moores, and The Hunting Prizes.
Off the Radar focuses on the second half of the twentieth century, and artists who, whether or not they were successful in their own time, have been unfairly neglected since their deaths. A majority were teachers, and a large percentage were RAs. Artists include Norman Blamey, Leonard Rosoman, John Ward, Peter Coker, Jean Cooke, and Karn Holly, amongst others.
