Dried lavender, hydrangea, poppy, honesty, old rope from the sea: I endeavour to give them a new life in my paintings. Born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1947. Lived and taught in London until 1975 and then moved to the Lake District. Married to the painter Julian Cooper and lives and works in Cockermouth, Cumbria.
